To gain entry into the MCAS BQP or MCAS MQP programs first you need to complete our English Language proficiency test (DEP Test).
To qualify for enrolment in the 6-month MCAS – BQP Fast Track program, you must complete the Gaokao and achieve a minimum score of 60% in the DEP (Direct Entry English Language Program) test, with no individual score below 55%, which is equivalent to a Duolingo score of 95 or an IELTS score of 5.5.
To be eligible for enrolment in the 6-month MCAS – BQP Fast Track program, you must complete the Gaokao. If your English score is below 55% on the DEP, with no individual score under 50%, you will need to complete a 5-week intensive English Program. This is equivalent to a Duolingo score of 80 or an IELTS score of 5.0
To qualify for enrolment in the 6-month MCAS – BQP Fast Track program, you must complete the Gaokao. If your English score on the DEP is below 50%, with no individual score under 45%, you will be required to complete a 10-week intensive English Program. This is equivalent to a Duolingo score of 65 or an IELTS score of 4.5
To qualify for enrolment in the 12-month MCAS – BQP Standard program, you must complete the Gaosan. If your English score on the DEP is below 55%, with no individual score below 50%, a 5-week intensive English Program will be required. This is equivalent to a Duolingo score of 80 or an IELTS score of 5.0
Entry to MCAS English qualification program
If you have the appropriate academic qualifications but need work on your English language, you could be eligible to enrol in the 5 or 15 weeks intensive English Language course aimed to achieve the required entry level English language proficiency needed to enter the MCAS BQP or MCAS MQP program.
When your enrolment is accepted, both the MCAS BQP or the 6 months MCAS MQP; each program contains further academic English language development including, academic English courses (English for Academic Purposes 2 and English for Academic Purposes 3) followed by a further DEP test needed for validating the necessary English language proficiency levels for entry to an overseas university.
